Letcher County offers breathtaking overlooks, biking and hiking trails, horseback riding on the Pioneer Horse Trail and ATV trails. Spend a weekend in your RV or camping out and fishing at beautiful Fishpond Lake. Enjoy the day at the Letcher County Recreation Center or come join us with a membership which will give you the opportunity to use the facility daily. Stay at one of our friendly bed and breakfast locations. Enjoy the view and picnic on Pine Mountain at one of several overlooks for a day that you will remember for years to come.

Letcher County is host to a number of annual festivals including the state award winning Mountain Heritage Festival since 1983, the Farmer's Market and the City of Whitesburg's Levitt Amp Music Series.
